Sierra Serena Olive Oil
Olive oil has a historical tradition in Spain which dates back to the time of the Phoenicians. It is believed that it was they who began to grow olive trees on the Greek islands and they then arrived on the coast of Spain more than 3,000 years ago. Olive oil has come a long way from the time when the Romans used it as medicine until today, when it is used by prestigious chefs to prepare the finest gourmet dishes and it can be found in the laboratories of prestigious scientists who are able to explain to us its properties.
Extra virgin olive oil, the natural juice of picual and cornezuelo olives. Green in colour with a fruity aroma.
Rey Alimentación markets extra virgin olive oil under the Sierra Serena brand name as well as packaging oil under the private labels of other clients. It currently produces more than 15 brands for major distribution companies.
Our oil is a multivarietal green, made from olives of the picual and cornezuelo varieties in the area of La Serena. The cornezuelo variety gives it an aromatic fruity flavour and the other varieties, such as the picual, provide stability.
The company began producing olive oil in the late nineteen eighties and it opened new facilities equipped with the latest technology in 2000.
