REY ALIMENTACIÓN S.L. is a family business located in Castuera (Extremadura).

Since its beginnings, the Rey family has focussed on the production of two products with a great tradition in the area: nougat and oil.

The company was set up in the mid nineteen sixties, inheriting the tradition of four generations of nougat and sweet manufacturers. Its management currently lies in the hands of the fifth generation. It was transformed during the nineteen eighties, incorporating the latest technological advances of the time for the making of these products. This continuous modernization process meant that REY ALIMENTACIÓN reached the highest level of technology and capacity within its sector in Spain.

In the nineteen nineties it introduced quality controls throughout the process, from production to packaging and distribution.
In the late nineteen nineties it undertook a process to diversify its activity, building a modern plant for the production of olive oil.

Rey Alimentación combines the secrets of the family tradition with the new technologies, thereby offering natural and handcrafted products.

“REY” is active in markets in over 20 countries, in more demanding and distant ones in South America, Asia and North America, and, of course, in Europe.

It exports 25% of its production outside Spain, with a clear commitment towards markets which have a strict approach to the quality and natural origin of food.

It chiefly markets its “SIERRA SERENA” oils in the traditional markets of oil consumers, where quality is the determining purchasing factor.
